Albright International operates to ISO 9001 (quality) and ISO 14001 (Environmental) standards. The continual improvement ethos of the company, from right back to its origins, made the adoption of these standards relatively easy and virtually transparent.
With modern facilities, a committed work force and support from top level management for enforcing and evolving both ISO systems has led to a dynamic working environment.
It is through this continual want for improvement and delivery of quality products that Albright maintains its position as a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy duty DC contactors.
In addition to working to ISO standards many products are recognised by UL – Underwriters Laboratories for various industries.
Albright International Ltd has the majority of contractors recognised within various UL categories.
To provide contactors to the China market, Albright China has tested products under China Compulsory Certification, commonly known as CCC. These can be supplied via Albright Manufacturing and Sales Office, located in the Shanghai region of China.
As a global supplier Albright is aware of the expectations of customers and legislation and is constantly monitoring the supply chain. A project for Banned and Reportable Substances is dedicated to meeting the demands of the REACH directive as well as customer specific reporting. Albright is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS2) in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) Directive by ensuring the safe removal of hazardous material below restricted limits within all products. The replacement of cadmium within our silver alloy tips, hexavalent chromium for Cr3 and elimination and/or reduction of lead within product and process are some of the key actions implemented to meet compliance.
Albright and all its subsidiaries are committed to supporting the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Regulation and Consumer Protection Act which aim is to eliminate conflict minerals originating from Eastern Region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) or adjoining countries.
We have therefore taken steps to ensure suppliers of processes whereby columbite-tantalite (coltan), cassiterite, gold (Au), wolframite, or their derivative, including Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W) and Tin (Sn) have been assessed and declarations sought that show compliance to the Dodd-Frank act.
